NASSCOM-Randstad: HR Best Practices 2016 – Charting a new normal in times of change

The Indian IT industry stands at an unchartered cross-road.  With the world of technology changing constantly, the industry is grappling with several challenges as it seeks to reorient and reinvent its practices and processes to keep up with unprecedented changes which have upended established orders and to chart out a new ‘new normal’. At the heart of this transformation is the core of the industry - our people. HR functions across corporations of every type are constantly innovating and experimenting with people management paradigms that generate value for the enterprise while keeping their employees engaged, invigorated and content. It is in this context that NASSCOM and Randstad partnered to identify those initiatives and as a consequence those companies who have fundamentally changed their approach towards the critical aspects of the talent landscape.

Five key pillars & associated themes that have the most impact on the HR function were identified and companies were invited to send in their entries detailing the what, why, how and thereafter of their respective case studies. 53 case were received, 20 were shortlisted as part of the best practices compendium and 5 of the case studies representing each of the five pillars were selected for felicitation. Each of these initiatives were innovative/transformative and yielded tangible benefits to the company while simultaneously improving employee engagement.
