As Chief Operating Officer, Nishant is responsible for scaling & transforming Freshdesk into a global SaaS powerhouse. He oversees all non-R&D aspects of the company’s operations, which includes Channels, Customer success, Facilities, Finance, HR, Legal, Presales and Sales. He is also the Chairman of the IAMAI (Internet & Mobile Association of India) & sits on the CII National Committee for Skill Development. Most recently, he was recognized as a Fortune 40-under-40 leader for his impact on shaping industry in the region.

Before joining Freshdesk, Nishant was Managing Director, LinkedIn India & South Asia and part of their APAC Senior Management team (from 2013-2015), where he played a pivotal role in scaling their operations in the region. And prior to that was responsible for global strategy at LinkedIn based in HQ (2011-2012).

Overall he has a well-rounded general management experience across technology, sales, strategy and operations. He has developed this experience in a multitude of leadership positions at LinkedIn, McKinsey and Ariba coupled with entrepreneurial experience as a founding member of India’s first voice-based call center - Epicentre Technologies (back in the late 90s) & now Freshdesk.

Nishant got his MBA in Entrepreneurship, Marketing & International Business from MIT’s Sloan School of Business in Boston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin as a UT Distinguished Scholar with a B.S. in Computer Science.
